Our mission

We inspire ākonga to explore real-world questions through science and technology. The fair provides an authentic platform to plan, investigate, and communicate findings, supported by teachers, whānau, and our partners.

Who can enter

Students in Years 7–13 from schools across Canterbury and Westland. Entries are coordinated by schools — check with your science teacher for details.

How it works

  1. Choose a topic and plan your investigation or build.
  2. Conduct your experiment or develop your prototype safely and ethically.
  3. Prepare a display board and short report.
  4. Present your work to judges at the regional fair.

See Resources for guidelines and templates.
