Judging

Judges evaluate entries using a rubric that typically covers:

• Clarity of the question or problem
• Appropriateness and rigour of the method
• Quality of data and analysis
• Originality and significance
• Presentation and communication skills

Prepare for the interview

You will speak to judges for a short time. Practice these points:

1. Explain your question in one sentence.
2. Summarise your method and why it is fair/reliable.
3. Highlight the key result and what it means.
4. Mention limitations and next steps.
