Judging
Judges evaluate entries using a rubric that typically covers:
- Clarity of the question or problem
- Appropriateness and rigour of the method
- Quality of data and analysis
- Originality and significance
- Presentation and communication skills
Prepare for the interview
You will speak to judges for a short time. Practice these points:
- Explain your question in one sentence.
- Summarise your method and why it is fair/reliable.
- Highlight the key result and what it means.
- Mention limitations and next steps.
